Save five favorite brightness and contrast settings as a preset, and regain the touch of a button or through a shortcut home (ScreenDim also provides a Launcher shortcut to cycle through presets, and other Launcher shortcut to off).
ScreenDim also creates an element of notification in the status bar so you can return to it to adjust the settings.
ScreenDim is the first regulator that can adjust the brightness of the backlight both below-normal system allows in many LCD devices attenuate contrast. Some regulators only filter and reduce contrast, which keeps unchanged the black and gray areas glowing in LCD devices, when in the darkness and save the life of the battery (and at least one does it in a way which reduces performance 2D screen about 30% in my tests). Many other regulators only change the backlight within the range allowed by the operating system.

Note 1: OLED devices, there is no backlight, so everything is setting the contrast setting.
Note 2: If set ScreenDim too dark for you to see the screen, can be recovered by adjusting brightness with volume buttons while in ScreenDim, or playing on the brightness setting should be on the screen if you no volume buttons, or reset the device (on many devices this is done by holding down the power button for up to ten seconds to turn the device off and then turn on the device).
